Julian Opie is a British artist who is perhaps most famous for his work on the cover of Blur: The best of (which you cna see below). Opie's style of portraiture is minimalistic, using minimal detail in his portraits to the point the eyes are small black dots and sometimes he even misses the neck in his portraits and only a circle represents the neck.
His style is somewhat relevent to my idea as my pixel portraits are quite minimalistic with detail, only really documenting the key details of a person such as eye colour, piercings and any freckles/moles they have. So in a way my work will be similar to Opie's however unlike his work mine will have more detail I believe.
