My initial idea for this assignment was to photograph the evoloution of graphics in one game. I had planned to photograph the Menu/Start up screens of Pokemon games, one for each generation to show how the graphics in the games had changed over the process of 15 years (1995-2010).
My idea then adapted to base it on Final Fantasy games, more for the seventh one as its Opening sequence was remade for its tenth anniversary as a limited edition PS3 game/demo. It would show how the graphics with Square Enix games had changed over ten years and how they had gone from blocks of colour with not much detail to more detailed and almost life like in a way. Below is some initial research I did into this and a mock up, the one on the left is the original opening scene and the one on the right is the revamped version:

Another idea I have is to create portraits of the people in the class using pixels or making the pictures on the computer basing them off of photographs of the other students on the course. I have chosen to do this idea as I think it will tie in aspects of digital world and social networking, websites such as Tinier Me often using small characters/avatars that allow someone to be someone else for a while. That is how this would relate to the idea of My Digital World as, even though I do not really go on these sites, they are relatively popular with teenagers, primarily girls, who have somewhat similar interests to me : Anime, Manga, Gaming ect.
Here is a mock up I did of a portrait of someone:
